Christopher Garrett

Technical Advisor, Systems Engineering, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center

Christopher A. Garrett is the Technical Advisor for Systems Engineering at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and a Senior Level Executive in the Department of the Air Force. He serves as the Air Force’s lead authority on systems engineering, guiding lifecycle management, technical policy, and digital transformation across the Materiel Command.

Mr. Garrett was appointed to his current role in 2020 after a 27-year career in the U.S. Air Force, where he served in electronic warfare, space, test, and sustainment roles, including leading the C-17 group at Robins Air Force Base and later as Deputy Director for Engineering and Technical Management at AFMC. In that capacity, he advanced strategic planning, systems analysis, and open architecture implementation.

Following his military service, he focused on integrating open standards and digital engineering within Air Force acquisition programs. Today, he leads efforts to align agile processes and digital capabilities with Air Force priorities, accelerating fielded capabilities through the AFMC Digital Campaign.
