Dr. Artur Dubrawski
Dr. Artur Dubrawski is Director of the Auton Lab at Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute. He leads applied research in data mining and teaches graduate courses at CMU’s Heinz College.
He earned a Ph.D. in robotics and automation from the Polish Academy of Sciences and an M.Sc. in aircraft engineering from Warsaw University of Technology. Dr. Dubrawski has entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded a company specializing in computerized control systems and served as CTO of Aethon, a robotics startup. He has also been affiliated with CMU spin-offs focused on data mining.
His research spans machine learning for autonomous systems and mobile robot navigation. He was a Fulbright scholar at CMU in 1995–96 before joining the Robotics Institute in 2003.
