LCDR Jacob Cole is the Assistant Dean for Digital Transformation at the Uniformed Services University, where he leads efforts to modernize education, research, and healthcare delivery through emerging technologies.

A board-certified anesthesiologist and critical care physician, Cole has served as Chief Medical Informatics Officer, Director of Surgical Services in Djibouti, and Associate Program Director at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, where he was also named Anesthesiology Teacher of the Year. He completed fellowships in both Academic Clinical Education and Surgical Critical Care.

He holds an M.D. from USU, MPH from Purdue, MBA from Brenau, and is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4x).
