Mr. DeVries serves as the Director of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Manufacturing Technology (ManTech) program. In this capacity, Mr. DeVries leads the DoD’s joint-service ManTech program, overseeing strategic investments into industry and government partnerships to transition prototype technologies into full-scale manufacturing. He is responsible for driving collaboration across the Military Services and Agencies to improve the acquisition, manufacturing, supportability, and repair processes for defense weapon systems, with the goal of reducing cycle times and overall costs.

Previously, Mr. DeVries held the position of Deputy Director of the OSD ManTech program, where he was instrumental in advancing the department's manufacturing capabilities by fostering partnerships with industry and ensuring effective investments in key modernization technologies. Before joining OSD, Mr. DeVries spent over 25 years at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, where he held various leadership roles, including Systems Engineer for Microwave Devices, Project Manager for business unit workload, In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) for Submarine Main Storage Batteries, and Branch Manager of the Radar Technologies Division.

His extensive experience has played a crucial role in transitioning critical technologies to support U.S. warfighters. Mr. DeVries holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University.
