Lauren Hanyok
Lauren (Tink) Hanyok is the Capital Tech Bridge Director and Lead Facilitator at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD). She has a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and Master's Degree in Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech. She started working in 2006 as a model test engineer, worked on her Master’s Degree (awarded in 2013) using data from a collaborative project she supported between NASA and NSWCCD assessing the Orion capsule's behavior after splashdown and recovery, and supported various Navy ship programs as a test engineer, data analyst, data acquisition developer, and model test lead with domestic and international partners. In 2018 she took a rotation with DASN RDT&E and became a plank owner of NavalX where she helped develop the Centers for Adaptive Warfighting (CAW) and left the rotation as the CAW’s Director. She then worked briefly as the Digital Lead in the Additive Manufacturing Branch at NSWCCD, ultimately taking a rotation into the Chief Technology Office as the Capital Tech Bridge Director, where she enables the CTO team in the local community. In her role as Carderock’s Lead Facilitator, she is building a facilitation cohort at Carderock and throughout the Naval Research and Development Enterprise (NR&DE) to support problem curation and wartime readiness. When she isn’t facilitating a workshop, running wartime readiness exercises, or engaging with Carderock’s external partners, you can find her singing and playing melodica for the acoustic metal cover band, METALLIFUN.
