Lorenzo Vallone, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Technical Director of the Air Force Materiel Command Integrated Development Office (IDO). In this role, he oversees the office’s capability development operations and develops it's overall technical strategic vision. The Integrated Development Office connects critical requirements with streamlined acquisition tactics ensuring our forces are equipped with advanced capabilities. The Integrated Development Office performs mission engineering, operational analysis, early systems engineering and acquisition, and architecture integration on behalf of the Air Force. He serves as IDO's most senior Air Force technical advisor to the Capability Development Executive Executive (CDEO) and the IDO Director, and is the primary technical advisor to the requirements community focused on modernization. Mr. Vallone oversees and advises on a technology portfolio with an annual budget of more than $400 million and also serves as NATO’s U.S. Head of Delegation (HoD) to the Military Committee Air Standardization Board (MCASB), and Avionic Systems Working Group (AVSWG).
