Major Culley Horne a Senior Innovation Strategist for the Chief of Staff of the Air Forces’ Strategic Studies Group. The team works to assess gaps in the Department of the Air Force and build prototypes and concepts that provide senior leaders with options for shaping the component’s direction and lethality. As a reservist aviator Major Horne’s unit flies the C-146 Wolfhound in support of global taskings. Major Horne entered the Air Force in 2012 after graduating from The University of Georgia’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Commissioning program. He entered the United States Air Force Reserve in 2025 after approximately twelve years on active duty. During this time, he flew the AC-130W and AC130J. He has served in Operations Inherent resolve and Freedoms Sentinel in various operational and staff roles. Prior to this role he was the Digital Transformation Liaison Officer for the 1st Special Operations Wing, Hurlburt Field, Florida.
