Nora Malchin is Section Head of the Innovation Hub at NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT), where she leads military innovation initiatives that drive transformative change across the Alliance.

She began her career as a combat medic in the German Air Force before pursuing advanced studies in engineering and innovation management at the University of Stuttgart and robotics at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Nora transitioned to the defense industry as a strategic advisor for Thales Germany, where she led digital transformation efforts and the Digital Pioneer Team. She also served as Head of System Engineering for Electronic Key Management Systems and Head of Engineering for Laser Warning Applications, developing critical technologies for military asset protection.

A certified Innovation Practitioner from the University of Michigan, Nora brings deep technical expertise and a passion for innovation to her leadership in defense and security.
