Rory Patterson is the Chief of Staff to the CEO and Vice President of Corporate Operations at Databricks, and serves as Chairman and General Manager of Databricks Federal LLC, where he leads strategy and operational growth at the intersection of AI, data, and national security.

Before joining Databricks, Patterson held senior executive roles at Splunk, including Chief of Staff to the CEO and GVP of Field Solutions, where he oversaw technical strategy and operations across global security and IT domains.

He previously served over a decade in the U.S. government, including as Deputy Director of Intelligence at U.S. Cyber Command, Senior Intelligence Officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency, and Military Intelligence Officer at AFRICOM. His work focused on cyber threat intelligence, expeditionary operations, and network defense.

Patterson is a veteran intelligence professional and technology executive, with deep experience bridging government and industry in advancing cyber and AI capabilities.
