Ms. Ashley Evans serves as Director of Data and Digital Transformation within the Department of the Navy, Office of the Assistant Secretary (Financial Management and Comptroller). In this role, she leads modernization initiatives across the Navy’s financial management enterprise, advancing systems integration, data, and analytics in support of mission readiness and warfighter needs.

Previously, Ms. Evans was a Highly Qualified Expert (HQE) at the DoD Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO), serving as Chief Product Officer for Business Analytics and Algorithmic Warfare. She led the product strategy for CDAO platforms, including the re-architecture of Advana—DoD’s enterprise data and AI platform—and launched Advana University, overseeing a $200M portfolio of data services.

She also served as Strategy and Operations Director in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), where she authored the 2022–2026 DoD Financial Management Strategy and co-founded the Advana platform, aligning hundreds of analytics teams and scaling user adoption tenfold. She launched Executive Analytics to provide senior leaders with performance insights via the Deputy’s Management Action Group.

Before joining the government, Ms. Evans held financial management roles in the private sector, leading transformation projects across multiple industries. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Seton Hall University with concentrations in Finance, Management, and a minor in Asian Studies.
