Gregg Smith
Gregg Smith is Chief Executive Officer of the Technology Advancement Center (TAC), where he leads efforts to foster cybersecurity innovation, collaboration, and engagement. A seasoned executive in the national security and cybersecurity sectors, he has over two decades of experience scaling and leading technology companies with a focus on secure communications, edge and cloud computing, and mobile and IoT security.
Previously, he served as CEO of Archon Secure (a CACI Company), and led Attila Security through its acquisition by ID Technologies and later by CACI. He was also CEO of Silent Circle and Optio Labs, where he oversaw product development in next-generation mobile security. Earlier in his career, he served as CEO of KoolSpan and Acuity Mobile (sold to Nokia), and held executive roles at Aether Systems and TeleCommunication Systems (NASDAQ: TSYS).
Beyond his executive leadership, he has served on multiple boards, including as Chairman of the Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI), and held advisory roles at Evergreen Advisors and Gloto.
Throughout his career, he has built and exited multiple cybersecurity ventures, supporting mission-critical capabilities for the U.S. government and Five Eyes partners.
