Ilja Bonsen is President and Co-Founder of NCT Consultants and serves as Managing Director of IB Consultancy in the Netherlands and Principal of NCT Consultants LLC in the United States. With nearly two decades of experience in the CBRNe field across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, he specializes in defense and security consulting, CBRNe threat mitigation, and international event coordination.

Before founding IB Consultancy, Mr. Bonsen worked as a CBRN Project Manager at TNO Defence and Security, where he led international projects on biological and chemical protection, ranging from basic research to counterterrorism consultancy. He also served on the Board of Advisors to the Commander of the Royal Netherlands Air Force from 2018 to 2021.

Mr. Bonsen holds degrees in Political Science and International Relations from Leiden University and in Business Administration from both Rotterdam School of Management and Corvinus University in Budapest. He continues to advance global security through innovative defense solutions, stakeholder engagement, and policy advisory roles.
