Tracy Frost, SES
Tracy Frost is the Director of Technology Innovation for the Industrial Base (TIIB) in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Ms. Frost has over 25 years of experience within the DoD. As the TIIB Director, Ms. Frost drives innovation within the defense industrial base, builds manufacturing capabilities for emerging technologies, and aligns strategic partnerships to ensure the availability of a dynamic and adaptable domestic and allied industrial base capable of meeting the evolving threats of the 21st century.
Previous experience includes increasing the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies into our organic and defense industrial bases as the Director of the DoD Manufacturing Technology Program and opening the defense innovation pipeline to new entrants as the Administrator of DoD’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR)/Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program. Earlier in her career, she led unmanned ground and aerial vehicle systems and ship logistics programs for the Office of Naval Research.
Ms. Frost holds a bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and a master’s degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from George Washington University.
